All services to children under 16 are bulk billed.

At Northside Health we believe that childhood is an important time to establish habits and patterns to set the foundations for good health in later life. Our doctors care for children from birth onwards. We provide 6 week post natal checks for mothers and babies. Please bring in your baby’s blue book to every appointment to keep your child’s medical and vaccinations recorded.

Our integrative approach equips us to deal with a variety of childhood and adolescent health needs. These may include behavioural, learning and mood issues, digestive concerns and many more.

Autism / ADD / Auditory Processing Disorder

Dr Olga Voloshyna has a special interest in working with children and families on the Autism spectrum.

Dr Olga is trained in the Tomatis Method for those children with Auditory Processing Disorder. The Tomatis® Method works by retraining the ear and re-patterning the nervous system with a sophisticated device called the electronic ear. It was designed by Dr Tomatis, a French Ear, Nose and Throat physician. The Tomatis® Method is a pedagogy of listening.

Adolescence

Adolescence is a time of rapid physical and emotional growth and change. In order to best support teens through this time our doctors work together with you and your adolescent in a supportive inclusive way. We provide a comprehensive service to ensure that no underlying imbalances are impacting health and mood.

Adolescents are eligible to apply for a Medicare Card at the age of 15 and are welcome to speak with a GP confidentially.
